Member art is not automatically Artifact property.
This Copyright Notice applies to Artifact’s own materials. It does not mean Artifact owns ordinary artwork, characters, writing, music, commissions, photos, or other creative work that a member posts for themselves in the community.
A separate written agreement is required when Artifact commissions, licenses, purchases, receives, or otherwise obtains specific rights to use a creator’s work for an Artifact project, promotion, event, website, bot, or other official purpose.
Third-party materials and credit.
Some Artifact spaces may include materials owned by third parties, including Discord, partner organizations, commissioned creators, contributors, stock providers, or other rights holders.
Those materials remain subject to the applicable owner’s rights, licenses, usage restrictions, and attribution requirements. Their appearance alongside Artifact does not transfer ownership to Artifact or give others permission to reuse them.
Artifact will make reasonable efforts to identify credited third-party materials where appropriate. Contact Artifact if you believe an attribution, ownership notice, or permission statement needs review.
Reporting unauthorized use of Artifact materials.
Contact Artifact if you believe someone is using Artifact’s logo, name, branding, website copy, graphics, bot resources, documentation, or other original Artifact materials without permission.
Please provide a link or screenshot showing the suspected use, the location of the original Artifact material, and a brief explanation of why you believe the use is unauthorized.
Creator-rights concerns inside Discord.
Artifact can take moderation action when members misuse creator work inside Artifact spaces, such as through portfolio theft, impersonation, credit removal, unauthorized reposting, or deceptive commission advertising.
However, Discord hosts member-uploaded files, images, messages, and attachments. Formal copyright takedown requests concerning Discord-hosted material should be submitted through Discord’s applicable copyright-reporting process.
Changes to this notice.
Artifact may update this Copyright Notice when its materials, branding, website, community systems, or rights-management practices change.
When this page changes, Artifact will update the effective date at the top.
