Youth Safety

Protecting younger members while supporting creativity.

Artifact welcomes creative people from many backgrounds and age groups. Youth safety policies exist to help protect younger members, set clear marketplace boundaries, and keep adult spaces separate from minors.

Why youth safety matters.

Creative communities often include younger artists, fans, and learners. Artifact wants younger members to have room to participate, make friends, share interests, and enjoy creativity without being placed into situations they are not ready for.

Our youth safety approach focuses on clear boundaries, age-appropriate access, safer marketplace expectations, and strong separation between minors and adult-only content.

What Artifact protects.

Youth safety is not one rule. It is a collection of standards that help keep younger members safer across the community.

🧒

Younger Members

Policies help protect minors from adult content, unsafe transactions, and inappropriate interactions.

🔞

Adult Spaces

18+ areas require adult verification and are separated from general community spaces.

🎨

Creative Participation

Younger members may still participate creatively in age-appropriate ways, such as sharing art or taking part in community discussion.

Creativity should be encouraged — not exploited.

Marketplace boundaries for minors.

Artifact separates creative participation from business activity because paid transactions can create legal, financial, and safety concerns.

Minors may participate through...

  • Age-appropriate community discussion
  • Sharing safe-for-work creative work
  • Free art or non-monetary creative exchanges where permitted
  • Learning, feedback, and community activities

Minors may not use Artifact for...

  • Selling NSFW content
  • Purchasing NSFW content
  • Accessing adult-only areas
  • Entering unsafe or unapproved paid arrangements

Parent or guardian involvement.

When younger members participate in any situation involving payment, legal responsibility, or business activity, parent or guardian involvement may be required depending on the circumstances.

Artifact encourages transparency. If a younger member is participating with parent or guardian permission, that should be communicated clearly before any services are provided or agreements are made.

Adult responsibility.

Adult members, artists, and commissioners are expected to respect age boundaries and avoid interactions that could place younger members at risk.

🛑

No NSFW With Minors

Adult content, adult discussions, and NSFW commissions must never involve members marked as under 18.

Respect Verification

Age verification exists to help adult creators and commissioners confirm access boundaries more responsibly.

Report Concerns

If you believe someone is misrepresenting their age or violating youth safety policies, report it through Artifact’s support process.

Artifact’s role.

Artifact provides community standards, verification systems, education, and moderation review.

We cannot monitor every private interaction or guarantee every member’s behavior. Youth safety works best when members respect boundaries, report concerns, and avoid risky conduct.
