Simple, limited use.
Artifact may use cookies and similar browser-storage tools to keep the website working,
protect it from abuse, remember basic preferences, support forms, and understand
general website performance.
Artifact does not use cookies to sell personal information, build advertising profiles,
or run third-party behavioral advertising across unrelated websites.
1
What cookies are.
Cookies are small pieces of data that a website can place in your browser.
They help a website recognize a browser, remember settings,
maintain a session, protect forms, or support other technical functions.
Similar technologies may include browser storage, security tokens,
local storage, session storage, pixels, or other tools that allow
a site or service to remember limited technical information.
Types of cookies Artifact may use.
The exact cookies used can change depending on website updates, enabled features, security tools, and visitor actions.
Strictly necessary cookies
- Help the website load, function, and maintain basic security.
- Support administrator login sessions or protected website functions.
- Help prevent abuse, fraud, malicious traffic, or repeated security challenges.
- May be necessary for forms, spam prevention, or security verification tools.
- Cannot always be disabled without affecting essential website features.
Preference cookies
- May remember basic visitor choices or display preferences.
- May help avoid showing the same notice repeatedly.
- May support language, layout, or accessibility-related preferences where enabled.
- Are intended to improve convenience, not identify you across unrelated websites.
Form and anti-spam cookies
- May support contact, report, appeal, or other website forms.
- May help reduce automated spam, repeated submissions, or malicious form activity.
- May be created by form plugins, CAPTCHA tools, or security services when those features are enabled.
- May be temporary and expire after a browser session or limited period.
Performance and analytics cookies
- May be used only where Artifact enables a service that measures basic site performance or visitor activity.
- May help us understand pages that load slowly, broken links, traffic volume, or popular public resources.
- Are not intended to be used for targeted advertising or sale of personal information.
- May be subject to visitor choice where legally required or where a consent control is provided.
2
Website tools that may use cookies.
Artifact’s website is built with WordPress and may use WordPress components,
Divi features, WPForms forms, hosting tools, security services,
content-delivery services, and embedded third-party content.
Depending on the features currently enabled, these tools may create
technical, security, session, form, or preference cookies. For example,
a security provider may place a temporary browser cookie after a traffic challenge,
while a form or spam-prevention tool may use temporary data to validate a submission.
Artifact may add, remove, replace, or reconfigure website services over time.
For that reason, this policy describes categories of cookies rather than promising
that a fixed list of cookie names will always remain the same.
Embedded and third-party content.
Some pages may include content or links from external services, such as Discord,
social platforms, video providers, form-security services, maps, portfolio sites,
payment services, or other community resources.
When you interact with embedded or linked third-party content,
that third party may set cookies or collect information under its own privacy policy.
Artifact does not control the independent cookie or privacy practices of those services.
3
How to manage cookies.
Most browsers allow you to review, block, delete, or limit cookies
through browser settings. You may also be able to clear browser storage,
block third-party cookies, or configure a browser to notify you
before accepting certain cookies.
Disabling cookies or browser storage may affect website performance,
security checks, form functionality, login behavior, embedded content,
saved preferences, or other site features.
Where Artifact provides a cookie-consent banner or preference tool,
you may use that tool to manage the choices available through it.
Your browser settings may still control cookies outside that tool.
4
Do Not Track and browser privacy controls.
Some browsers provide privacy signals, tracking-preference settings,
or “Do Not Track” options. Because browser signals are not always applied consistently
across websites and services, Artifact may not respond to every signal in the same way.
You can still use your browser controls, privacy extensions, and consent settings
to manage cookies and similar technology where available.
5
Changes to this Cookie Policy.
Artifact may update this Cookie Policy when website features,
service providers, security settings, legal requirements,
or cookie practices change.
When this page changes, Artifact will update the effective date at the top.
Material updates may also be shared through the Artifact website
or other appropriate community channels.
